As Director of Development, you’ll lead the design and execution of a sustainable funding strategy. This includes managing a team of global volunteers and guiding Creshendo’s approach to grants, partnerships, and long-term financial alignment. You’ll have room to experiment, test new models, and co-create a funding engine that aligns with our values.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and implement a funding strategy for FY26 and beyond
• Lead and mentor a volunteer team of grant writers and partnership researchers
• Identify new funding sources, refine proposal strategy, and support major submissions
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to steward high-value partnerships
• Align development efforts with storytelling, program design, and executive planning
• Pilot creative approaches to partnerships, individual giving, and earned income
• Track and share key development metrics to guide strategic decisions

What You Bring

• Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising strategy, or strategic partnerships
• Comfort leading teams and creating structure in evolving or early-stage environments
• Clear communication, strong execution, and a systems-thinking mindset
• A growth mindset—you value feedback, iteration, and long-term thinking
• Bonus: experience with federal or international grants, diaspora communities, or migration-related work
