    Location: Remote

    Description: Thaddeus Resource Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Scrum Master to join its web development team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile practices and processes, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement within web development projects. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality web solutions that support the organization's mission and goals.

    **The responsibilities for this role are performed 100% remotely. **

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the Scrum Master for our web development team, guiding them in the adoption and execution of Agile methodologies, including Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

    • Coach and mentor interns and staff on Agile principles and practices, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities within the Scrum framework and fostering a culture of collaboration, self-organization, and continuous improvement.

    • Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, facilitating communication, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment on project goals, priorities, and timelines.

    • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to maintain and prioritize the product backlog for web development projects.

    • Identify and address impediments or blockers that hinder the progress of the web development team, working proactively to resolve issues.

    • Track and report on key Agile metrics related to web development projects, such as velocity, sprint burndown, and team health indicators, providing visibility into project progress and performance and facilitating data-driven decision-making.

    • Meet regularly with the web development team to reflect on past sprints, identify areas for improvement, and implement actionable changes to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the web development team and across the organization.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, or a related field.

    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification preferred.

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Scrum Master in a web development environment.

    • Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, with experience implementing Scrum or other Agile methodologies in web development projects.

    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams.

    • Experience with web development technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React or Angular.

    • Familiarity with web development best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.

    • Commitment to the mission and values of Thaddeus Resource Center and a passion for leveraging technology to drive positive social impact.

    Time commitment:

    • 5 hrs/week including mandatory meetings

    • 1-year minimum

    • Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings:

      • All staff meetings: Tuesdays 9 AM - 10 AM PST

      • Tech dept meetings: Thursdays 9 AM - 11 AM PST

    • Other meetings (as part of the 5-hour requirement):
      • Monthly meetings with 10 interns: 1.5 hours a week
      • Monthly meeting with product owner: 1 hour a month
      • Monthly meeting with Thaddeus' president: 1 hour a month
