Foster Grandparent & Senior Companion Programs, A Senior Volunteer Program

Senior Volunteers Needed!

Foster Grandparent: Volunteer in a classroom setting at your local school, serving children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as a Foster Grandparent. Help children with communication, math, reading, and writing. Help children with classroom activities, model following rules and routines, and provide positive encouragement/redirection.

Senior Companion: Volunteer in a residential care home or day program near your home, serving adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as a Senior Companion. Promote inclusion while providing companionship and emotional support. Model rules, routines, social etiquette, and use of materials.

Eligibility Criteria: At least 55 years old, Meet income requirements, & Volunteer at least 5 hours per week.
