Donation Drive: Housewarming Essentails Needed!

Facing Forward is a Chicago-based nonprofit that partners with families and individuals who are currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We specialize in providing long-term, stable housing, essential resources, and personalized support services that build stability, improve mental and physical health, and increase access to empowering education and employment opportunities.

Share the Love Donation Drive

This February, join Facing Forward in welcoming families who have experienced homelessness into long-term, supportive housing!

Check out our housewarming basket and essential supplies lists below to donate between February 1st - 29th and support our neighbors as they start new chapters in their lives.

Ways to Participate:

• Participate Solo - Gather essential items independently and contribute to the Share the Love Donation Drive. Your individual effort makes a meaningful impact!
• Plan a Group Service Project - Facing Forward works closely with workplaces, faith-based groups, families, classrooms, and more to make sure Sharing the Love an easy and fun team-building experience.
• Team Up with a Local Business - Reach out to local businesses like cafes, bookstores, coffee shops, grocery stores, or community centers. Discuss the essential items listed below and encourage them to collect donations. Help create partnerships that support neighbors experiencing homelessness.
• Give Virtually -  If you prefer a contactless approach, consider contributing virtually! Explore Facing Forward's Amazon wish list and have essential items shipped directly to us at 2501 W Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL 60612.

• 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

What to Donate:

For housewarming baskets, pack a large laundry basket with the following items:

• Toilet paper
• Paper towels
• Laundry detergent*
• Dish soap*

• Kitchen and bath towels*
• Food storage containers
• A note welcoming a family or individual to their new home
