Enthusiastic and friendly volunteers with an interest in Colorado history and state government, who love working with people of all ages and from all walks of life are encouraged to apply!
Capitol guides are responsible for leading guided tours throughout the building, including the Capitol museum and dome observation area, and providing visitors with concierge type services at satellite visitor information desks. Guided tours discuss the history of our state and the "People's House," where the important work of our state government has taken place for more than 125 years!
The Colorado State Capitol welcomes about 300,000 visitors annually, with nearly 70,000 visitors taking tours of our beautiful and historic Statehouse, including many elementary school aged student groups, senior groups, and professional teams.
