Do you enjoy visiting and helping disabled and/or elder adults? Do you want to make a difference in someone's life? If you said yes, then become a Volunteer Guardian!
We will assist in training, and be a resource for information and support, then match you with an elder or disabled adult to become thier legal guardian. Volunteer guardians play an important roll in the life of an at-risk elderly or adult person. You will make important health, welfare and/or financial decisions and advocate for adults who can no longer make decisions for themselves. Your compassion and caring will provide a loving and nurturing relationship for both the at-risk adult and yourself.
A volunteer guardian is appointed by the court after a thorough screening and training process. We provide on going assistance to our volunteers to help you be successful.
You must be 21 or older. Volunteers are screened with criminal and caregiver background checks and must take a 3-hour free online training course through UW Green Bay before becoming a guardian. Ongoing support is always available.
NOTE: Volunteers have no financial obligation for the ward.
