Pet therapy and companionship volunteers are needed to visit and enrich the quality of life for patients with a life-shortening diagnosis who are receiving hospice care. This program allows volunteers to be matched one on one with a hospice patient. The volunteer would simply offer companionship/friendship through regular visits with their certified pet.
The volunteers can also set their own schedule that is convenient for both parties. Typically, a volunteer would make a companionship visit 2-4 times monthly for approx. 30 minutes to a couple of hours.
This is a wonderful way to share your best friend and truly make a difference for ot hers in an extremely meaningful and rewarding way.

Once I receive your information, you will be called for an interview, once the interview is complete you will be handed a packet of information to fill out.
From there I will run a background check, you will schedule a drug test through LabCorp paid for by Gentiva. Once I get your background check and drug screen back you will need a current TB test which can be done in office.
Then from there you will do education and a test.
Once that is complete you will be set up with your patient!
Can be overwhelming at first but the process can go smoothly and quickly depending on YOU!
