Cabrillo Marine Aquarium Volunteer Opportunity

Join Cabrillo Marine volunteers and staff as we welcome 4,00 school children a week to our beach and teach them about the animals and habitats of our local Southern California Ocean. Volunteers will be trained as docents providing school children with information about the ocean and conducting related activities at Cabrillo Beach and adjacent grass areas. QUALIFICIATIONS include and affinity for the outdoors; a desire to learn about the ocean, marine animals and the ocean environment; and an interest in children.

Training sessions will be conducted Monday, February 26, 2024 and Monday, March 18, 204 (9am -12noon). Docents are asked to give one morning per week from 9am -12 noon, Tuesday through Friday, from March 24 through May 31.
