Hospice Volunteer - Racine County

Are you a Veteran, retired, college student, couple or individual looking for something meaningful to do with your spare time? Are you and your sibling, son/daughter, or friend looking to spend quality time with someone special? Do you have a pet who is certified? If this describes you, Preceptor Hospice has an opportunity for you to become a hospice volunteer. Become part of a team that provides care and compassion to patients during their final life journey.

As a hospice volunteer, you will become trained to visit with hospice patients. You do not need any experience. This is how you can help. Be willing to share your time on your schedule. Play games, read, listen to their stories. Listen when they talk about their time in the military or about their family, their career, life events. Provide comforting support and presence.
