Combat Senior Hunger and Social Isolation

Help provide home bound seniors in the community a warm meal and a warm smile. Meals On Wheels’ success depends on our volunteer network of those who drive a route and deliver hundreds of meals daily to homebound seniors in Jefferson County specifically zip codes 40258, 40272, and 40177. Southwest Community Ministries values providing services in manner that maintains the individuals their personal dignity, fosters a spirit of community, encourages independence, and recognizes interdependence. Volunteers have the freedom to decide day and time availability. By volunteering 2-3 hours of your time, you fulfill a basic need for food and make a difference in someone’s life.
