Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Executive Administrative Assistant to support the Founder & Executive Director in day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for a college student, recent graduate, or community member looking to gain valuable nonprofit experience while contributing to a mission-driven organization.
This is an unpaid internship/volunteer position with flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling, calendar management, and phone call/email correspondence.
- Assist with document preparation, file organization (Google Drive), and data entry.
- Support event planning and logistics for Rooted Interiors programs, fundraisers, and community partnerships.
- Coordinate communications with board members, volunteers, and community partners.
- Help manage volunteer sign-ups, confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and track action items.
- Assist with grant applications, donor tracking, and basic reporting.
- Represent Rooted Interiors with professionalism and kindness in all communications.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented.
