Are you passionate about urban planning, community development, or social justice? Do you want to help ensure residents’ voices shape the future of Detroit?
WISE Partnership is seeking dedicated volunteers to support a series of community focus groups that will inform the design, use, and zoning of the WISE Central Hub-a Black-led social enterprise and cultural space being developed at 2700 W. Chicago Blvd.
This is your chance to be on the ground floor of something transformative. The WISE Central Hub will include a public market and café, cultural arts center, workforce training spaces, gardens, and more-all rooted in community voice.
We Are Looking For:Focus Group Organizers
Help coordinate outreach, scheduling, and logistics for youth, seniors, artists, neighborhood associations, and other stakeholders.
Facilitators
Lead 60-minute discussions using prepared materials to engage residents around what they want to see in the WISE Central Hub.
Urban Planning Volunteers
Support review of feedback, zoning advocacy, and summary reporting for integration into the final development plan.

Flexible-1 to 5 hours per week through Fall 2025. Weekend and evening opportunities available.
