Backyard Missions: Thanksgiving Meals & Turkey Giveaway

Join Our Purpose Project, Inc. for our annual Thanksgiving Community Giveaway — a day of gratitude, service, and connection! We’re distributing Thanksgiving Care Packages to local families, and each volunteer will also receive their own care package in appreciation for helping serve our community.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Assist with event setup and breakdown (tables, supplies, decorations)
• Serve meals and distribute care packages to families and residents
• Greet and check in guests, manage lines, and ensure smooth flow
• Support the hospitality team by maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere
• Help with light cleanup and packing up at the end of the event

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and a heart for service
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (for setup roles preferred)
• Reliable and punctual; ability to stay for your assigned shift

Additional Details:

• Each volunteer will receive a Thanksgiving Care Package
• Community service hours will be verified upon request
• Dress comfortably (closed-toe shoes recommended); OPP shirts encouraged
• Light refreshments and water provided
• Great for students, families, and corporate volunteer groups
