Help us protect native trees just across the river from President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s historic home!
Join Scenic Hudson staff for a volunteer workday on land we conserved in Lloyd, where we’ll be constructing a fence so native trees can regrow without being disturbed by deer or other herbivores. As part of the forest regeneration project, we will drill fence posts and install fencing around a ⅔-acre area that was recently cleared of invasive brush and trees.
All tools will be provided. Remember to bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, along with long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and a hat.
All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the entire event.
This event is rain or shine, barring extreme weather.
