Honduras Child Alliance seeks volunteers with open minds and open hearts to help operate our educational enrichment and healthy living programs. Programs operate year-round and there is always a need for volunteers. Some folks come for 6-weeks and others stay for a year!
Our 'PEP+' (Porvenir Enrichment Program) classes for children in grades 1-6 include instruction in Spanish and English literacy, computer science, art, math, SEL, leadership skills, sports, team-building, and more. There is also a year-round adult English class, 'PEP-Adultos', that meets 2 evenings per week.
This year-round program has 3 classroom locations within the community. All are within easy walking distance of the volunteer houses.
Spanish instruction is available!
We seek volunteers who are energetic and collaborative, with a red-hot motivation and some relevant talents to help make a difference in the lives of Honduran children. Some ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but flexibility, a sense of humor, and problem-solving skills are a must!

You will receive full travel instructions when accepted as a volunteer. Plan to fly to Ramon Villeda airport (SAP) where our trusted driver can pick you up to bring you to El Porvenir. From Europe, there are non-stop flights from Madrid, and from North America, you can connect through, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, and New York.
