Job Description – Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator provides the leadership for promoting volunteer activities in the community, recruiting, scheduling and retaining volunteers for builds, events and other activities as needed by the affiliate. As part of this role, the Volunteer Coordinator will recruit and motivate committee members and site volunteers and act as the spokesperson for the entire group. The Volunteer Coordinator will work with all committees to meet construction and non-construction related volunteer needs.
Specific Job Duties:
Recruit new volunteers for the build, in the office and for special events
Respond to inquiries from potential volunteers, manage the waivers and enter all data and manage volunteer database, track construction site hours.
Organizes volunteer recognition events to reinforce the essential function volunteers contribute to the affiliate.
Ensure that each volunteer has a quality experience.
Work closely with the Volunteer Committee to manage the volunteers
Manage the Volunteer Up database
