    Descrição

    Are you passionate about ending hunger in Oregon? Apply to join the board of Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon and help make food justice a reality for all Oregonians.

    At Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon, our Theory of Change states: “Impacted communities lead the way. Lasting social change is the result of mass movements of people demanding what they know they deserve. To achieve this, marginalized voices and those with lived experience of hunger and poverty are central to all decision-making.”

    We are guided by this value as we grow our Board of Directors—an essential body that sets fiscal direction, provides organizational leadership, and collaborates with staff on strategic vision. In alignment with our mission, we are actively seeking board members whose lived experiences reflect the diverse realities of communities most impacted by hunger and the intersecting systems of oppression that drive it.

    The Board of Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon (PHFO) is coming out of a period of change and we’re ready to build and grow our board. We are currently seeking individuals with the time, experience, and passion to serve a two-year board term and help our organization fulfill the vision of a future where all Oregonians are free from hunger, and where our communities can live in true food justice and food sovereignty. A future where everyone can access affordable, nourishing, and culturally appropriate food, and equity is built into every part of the food system.

    PHFO is currently looking for board members from around the state who have some or all of the following attributes:

    • Lived experience with food insecurity;
    • Experience applying power analysis to movement building:
    • Fundraising expertise and network:
    • Passion for big visions;
    • Experience with small-scale nonprofits; and
    • Time to roll up sleeves and serve on committees
