Volunteers will be required to complete an orientation process which lasts approximately 1 hour and includes an application and background check. Once all documentation is completed, the volunteer can set frequency of visits based on availability.

Current TB Test is required. SWVC will provide a TB Test to any volunteer at no charge if requested.
Descrição
Veteran Visitors are compassionate volunteers who spend time with our veterans here at Southwestern Veterans Center; specifically those residents who need someone to visit with them. Veteran Visitors must complete the Volunteer Application and Orientation Process. Volunteers will visit with the residents in their room to talk, listen, play cards, watch tv, read a book, look at photos, or just be present.
