Companionship Volunteers work directly with patients providing companionship, offering friendly visits, reading to patients, writing letters, offering a gentle touch or sharing a quiet moment. Becoming a volunteer provides a sense of purpose, boosts self-esteem, expands social networks, and offers a chance to give back to causes they care about, all while potentially opening up new career paths and connections.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity
Required:
- Volunteer application
- Onboarding Supplemental Form Part 2
- Volunteer Job Description
- A photo for your ID Badge - Taken from the shoulders and up in front of a plain, solid background.
- Government/State Issued Picture identification Card
- 2 Step PPD results (within the last 12 months).
- Proof of a physical examination within the last 6 months)
- Georgia State Gchex Fingerprinting (Social Security Number required for this)
- Background Check
Requested, but not required for volunteering:
o Hepatitis B Vaccine
o COVID-19 Vaccination Card, including all boosters
o Flu shot
o Professional certifications (if applicable)
