You used to be the nerve center of the entire organization, and loved making things work smoothly. You were a great planner, but whenever there was a hiccup, it was also fun to grab the fire hat and put out the fire. Most of all, you loved making the fires infrequent: you loved good processes and didn’t care for emergencies
Now that you're retired, you don’t get to use those talents much anymore. And you sure don’t want another job. You have a life, maybe grown kids or parents, long vacations, there may be days or weeks when you have less energy, and days when you just want to play. But you do miss the feeling of accomplishment, and having your work make a difference. Wouldn't you love to find a nonprofit that has a big impact on the community (60,000 pairs of shoes distributed to 100 nonprofits each year), is 100% volunteer, who values your skillset and lets you build your own "position" in the group to fit your life, skills, and personality? Let's chat on the phone, or meet at our room and sort some shoes and talk.
