Organizational Description:

Inneract Project is a nonprofit organization working to empower the next generation of  Black, Latinx, and underrepresented designers of color. Inneract Projects provides free design classes and initiatives that introduce students to the design field in hopes of channeling their creativity into exciting new career paths. Founded in 2004, Inneract Project is committed to reshaping the design and tech industries so that more Black, Latinx, and underrepresented folks of color are present, empowered, and supported.

OVERVIEW

The Volunteer Event Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of Inneract Project programs and events. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities related to event logistics, guest interactions, and overall event coordination.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Collaborate with the event planning team to assist with the setup of event spaces
•  Support programs team with addressing errands needed for events & programs 
• Assist programs team with post-event/program cleanup 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Demonstrates strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Passionate for education, youth development, and social justice.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing event dynamics.
• Previous experience in event coordination or volunteer management is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within the Bay Area

COMMITMENT/TERM 

This position requires a 7-month commitment for an average of 4+ hours per week, which will be completed in-person and remotely. Position commitment is subject to renewal and extension by agreement from both parties.
