All volunteers are required to complete a background check and Safe Sanctuaries® training before serving with young people. This training will certify you for two years.
Descrição
WonderKids is a free literacy tutoring and mentorship program available to any students, kindergarten through 5th grade in the Milford school district. For more than a decade, we've worked with nearly 150 students through partnerships with local elementary schools. WonderKids meets at Milford First United Methodist Church every Tuesday and Wednesday evening that school is in session. Reading coaches work together in small groups with children, helping each group with a variety of preplanned literacy and social activities.
A few reasons to volunteer with us:
- Anyone can do it, NO teaching experience needed!
- We’ve been making an impact in the community for 13 years and counting!
- We serve local students and families!
- We operate by school calendar: no holidays, no snow days, & no summers!
