About us

For 37 years, the New York Expo has celebrated the art of independent short film and video. As the longest-running festival of its kind in the United States, the Expo has a rich history of showcasing the work of independent filmmakers from all across the globe. Last year's Expo featured 90 films from 30 countries! The Expo has given early exposure to several major filmmakers, including Spike Lee and George Lucas, and has also showcased the works of renown animators, as well as experimental and documentary filmmakers. All works are under 60 minutes long. Festival is held every December.
