About us

A Catholic leader in the global movement for justice and peace, NETWORK educates, organizes and lobbies for economic and social transformation. Founded in 1971 in the progressive spirit of Vatican II by 47 Catholic sisters, we are rooted in the Gospel, Catholic Social Teaching, and social justice tradition. We are open to all who share our passion as we seek to build a Spirit-filled network of justice-seekers that shapes federal policies to be consistent with Catholic social tradition. We strive for diversity, fight against racism, and are inclusive in our actions; we collaborate, partner and engage differences in service of our mission; and we work to be the leading voice at the intersection of Catholic faith and U.S. public policy.
