About us

The Council was formed in September 1995 to build a foundation for the prevention of HIV/AIDS in Ravalli County. It is the goal of the Council to prevent the occurence of AIDS by preventing new HIV infections. The Council is a non - profit community organization that seeks to educate not only high risk groups but the general community as well to create a positive environment for learning and prevention. Towards these goals the Council shall work to meet the needs of the community by providing materials and resources, arranging for speakers and workshops, attending public events to distribute information and other materials (such as condoms) where appropriate, utilizing area media for public service announcements and furthering AIDS prevention by promoting events such as World AIDS Day.
