About us

ClearWater Initiative is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing clean water resources, community education and micro finance programs in a sustainable manner to more than 12,000 people in over 40 villages, located in the remote corners of Northern Uganda, a region emerging from a decade of war.

The communities where the organization currently works were deeply affected by the conflict with Joseph Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) and providing clean water is often a critical component to the post-war rebuilding efforts.

ClearWater Initiative is based in Washington D.C.and has a field office in the town of Gulu in Northern Uganda.
