Description

Summer Search is a dynamic national non-profit organization that finds resilient low-income high school students and inspires them to become responsible and altruistic leaders by providing year-round mentoring, life-changing summer experiences, college advising, and a lasting support network.

Summer Search started in 1990 in San Francisco and currently operates in seven sites serving 700 students and 1,700 alumni nationally. By 2010, Summer Search will double in size to serve 1,400 high school students and 3,000 alumni. Over our sixteen year history 93% of our students have gone on to college and a remarkable 89% remain enrolled and on-track to graduate.
