Friends Without Frontiers (FWF), registered in Ghana at the Registrar General's Department, is a non-profit organization working for the betterment of deprived communities and capacity building through volunteerism. It is based in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. The group is not affiliated to any political or religious entity, and operates on the contribution of its members as well as philanthropists.
Aims and Objectives
Our aims and objectives include these and other things:
We work with all ages, genders, and ethnic groups in Ghana, especially in the rural areas. We abhor racism and therefore collaborate with all peoples the world over in ways that are beneficial to humankind. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life.
As a volunteer with FWF, one is expected to make meaningful contributions, working among both the rural and the urban populations, whichever the case may be, and sharing in the aspirations of the host communities. The volunteer will no doubt enjoy the cultural traditions of people outside their home country and experience the proverbial Ghanaian hospitality. It's an exciting and personally inspiring experience that will leave an individual with lasting memories.
You can choose one of our many programs - all of which are dynamic and inspiring community-based initiatives. The programs are designed to ensure that they are of interest to you, and of mutual benefit to you and the host community.
