The Public Conversations Project (PCP) fosters understanding and collaboration across seemingly unbridgeable divides over complex social issues, from abortion to end-of-life dilemmas, from US red/blue divisions to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
PCP strengthens society by helping people who are profoundly divided develop the mutual understanding and trust essential for positive action. PCP addresses highly polarized issues, such as abortion; it also focuses on issues such as interfaith relations where mutual understanding enables people to harness diversity to generate fresh thinking about stuck situations. In this way, PCP transforms antagonism into respect and isolation into community.
A multi-faceted non-profit organization, PCP has earned the respect of professionals and the public for its fee-based and grant-supported facilitated dialogues, training and consultation services, as well as the materials it makes available free of cost to community leaders worldwide.
