The Church of the Ascension in the City of New York

Ascension is a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive community of people who gather to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, to give praise and thanks to God through the beauty of worship, and to love and serve God and our neighbors. A parish in Greenwich Village, founded in 1827, we offer a range of programs and worship opportunities centered on our historic 1841 sanctuary, the first church building on Fifth Avenue.
