Sobre Nós

Washington Interfaith Network (WIN) is a multi-racial, city-wide citizens power organization in Washington, DC. Our coalition is made up of congregations, community organizations, and unions from across the city organizing poor, working and middle class families on issues like affordable housing, jobs/unemployment, community safety, youth investment, and immigrant rights. Over the past 20 years, WIN has organized to build and preserve nearly 1,000 affordable homes and apartments and been a critical part of the effort to get DC’s Housing Production Trust Fund to invest $100 Million/year in affordable housing – the highest in the nation. WIN has successfully pushed for the firing of a police chief and secured hundreds of millions of dollars for neighborhood investment in community centers, libraries, and youth programs. WIN is a key partner to organized labor where we’ve helped enforce fair hiring of working class and Black people and returning citizens, and helping win wage increases for transit workers. Read our 20th Anniversary Report to learn more about WIN.
