Internship Opportunity for Web Development Knowledgeable Tech Grad/Student: Marketing Communications

This is a part-time, remote-friendly internship supporting our public communications and fundraising pipeline. The Marketing Communications Intern will produce articles for mainly technical audiences on topics ranging from Typescript/node-js development to ethical tech, to the social impacts of AI.

We're a small, sporadically funded collective as of right now. So this role is less about filling fixed hours and more about finding someone genuinely motivated by the mission — someone who can help us build the case for more significant funding that lets us pay _you_ on a more regular basis, and bring on more people down the line.

Qualifications

• Comp Sci, EE bachelor's or higher, or advanced degree in another STEM discipline and a demonstrated portfolio of equivalent experience
• Proven record as an activist or volunteer for causes aligned with our mission
• Strong technical writing skills, as well as ability to address social implications of new technologies
• Track record of published articles on technology, or comparable writing samples
• Interest in (or prior experience with) grant writing or nonprofit fundraising

Key Responsibilities

• Write and publish articles explaining the novel principles behind the technology we've built so far
• Write applications for grants and non-profit fiscal sponsorships
• Help build our public presence — newsletter content, social media, and outreach materials aimed at mission-aligned organizations
