Solena Collective

The Solena Collective is a new global movement where women support one another, learn and share skills, and take collective action in their communities, working across cultures for a more equal world. Solena provides the shared tools, training, and global connection to support women to organize and lead local change with support and structure.

Often, solutions to gender inequality fight one battle at a time, one place at a time. To eradicate the issues that women face around the world, we need a majority of women and girls standing up for their rights and respect together—and this kind of widespread cultural change can only come from grassroots movements. Right now, as they see women’s rights being stripped away and GBV increasing, so many women feel powerless. What if they had the infrastructure to organize community actions with global solidarity? Our movement supports this locally led change by providing leadership and skills training, best practice solutions from organizations around the world, microgrants funded internally by global membership dues, and cross-border sisterhood--giving them the tools to choose their own destiny and drive towards it.
