    About CFOB

Founded in 1973 by Beulah Providence and a group of Caribbean immigrant women, The Caribbean Foundation of Boston (CFOB) has served the Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan communities for over 50 years. Established with a “neighbor helping neighbor” philosophy, CFOB has grown from a small grassroots effort into a trusted community resource, providing compassionate care, workforce development, and vital support services to hundreds of residents each month.

CFOB’s purpose is to prevent unnecessary institutionalization of seniors and individuals with disabilities by helping them remain in their homes with dignity and independence. The organization also provides meaningful employment opportunities and workforce training for community members.

    Impact & Programs

It is run through partnerships with the Senior Companions of Boston and the Massachusetts Association for the Blind.
