About Chorus
Chorus is a boutique strategic communications agency based in Nashville. We work with nonprofits, schools, and social impact organizations across Tennessee and nationally, helping mission-driven clients communicate their work with clarity and credibility. We are a small, founder-led firm, and every account receives senior-level attention.
Position Summary
Chorus is seeking a part-time contractor to manage day-to-day organic social media across our client roster. This includes building content calendars, writing captions, designing or sourcing graphics, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and preparing monthly performance reports.
The position averages 10 to 15 hours per week. It is fully remote with flexible scheduling, structured around deliverables and deadlines rather than set hours. Work follows a consistent monthly rhythm, which makes the role well suited to candidates balancing other professional or personal commitments.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain monthly content calendars for three to five client accounts
- Write platform-native copy that reflects the client's voice
- Create graphics and light video edits using Canva or comparable tools
- Schedule and publish content across platforms
- Manage community engagement, responding to comments and messages within client guidelines
- Prepare monthly reports on reach, engagement, and audience growth, with clear analysis of what the results indicate
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill writing and producing organic content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Experience with YouTube, Threads, or X is a plus.
- A portfolio or set of work samples you can speak to. Experience gained through freelance work, volunteer roles, campus organizations, or personal accounts is welcome.
- Strong, adaptable writing skills, with the ability to move between distinct client voices.
- Reliability and the ability to work independently with limited day-to-day oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paid social media experience, including Meta Ads Manager or LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Familiarity with the nonprofit, education, or social impact sector
- Prior agency experience is not required.
Position Details
- Classification: 1099 independent contractor
- Compensation: $20 to $40 per hour, commensurate with experience
- Location: Remote. Nashville-area candidates preferred for occasional on-site content capture at client events, billed separately from the weekly scope.
- Anticipated start date: Oct. 1, 2026
