    Overview

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Homeownership Coordinator to join our Affirmative Marketing team. This role is an exciting opportunity to help first-time homebuyers—especially those historically excluded from the housing market—navigate the path to stable, affordable homeownership. As part of a mission-driven team, you will play a key role in ensuring that income-eligible households can access housing at a price point that’s truly within reach. The position combines hands-on support for applicants with strong back-office organization, including eligibility screening, document management, and client communications—all in service of advancing housing equity across our communities.

    The Homeownership Coordinator should approach their responsibilities with our standard that every external contact is a client who will receive the highest level of customer service.

    Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing

    • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective applicants and respond to housing inquiries
    • Calculate household income and asset eligibility and review documentation for accuracy and authenticity.
    • Coordinate with internal and external partners on file reviews, unit viewings, and conveyance process.
    • Prepare compliance reports for senior management and maintain tracking systems using Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
    • Take initiative to advance applicants through the housing process and assist in setting department goals.
    • Assist with preparing and comply with affirmative fair housing marketing plans for various residential communities.
    • Utilize and update company tracking tools (Google Workspace/Task, conveyance tracker, applicant logs, etc.) efficiently
    • Prepare written Client Update reports for monthly and quarterly distribution.

    Community Outreach

    • Partner with the Director of Marketing on outreach events and community presentations.
    • Develop marketing materials and presentations for external stakeholders.
    • Prepare community and newspaper advertisements for review and approval.
    • Distributes newsletters, pamphlets, flyers, etc. to local business and employers.
    • Assists in obtaining and/or distributing marketing information via telephone and/or in-person visits.

    Administration

    • Draft general affidavits and standardized lottery notices.
    • Manage mail merges and USPS mailings for communication.
    • Design marketing collateral; ensure all materials comply with Fair Housing guidelines
    • Update and maintain office calendar.
    • Keep applicant and company files organized—both electronic and hard copies.
    • Manage inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed.
    • Provide general support to other departments as needed.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in one or more of the following fields preferred:
      • Customer service
      • Leasing and/or Property management
      • Housing advocacy
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
    • The ability to balance working independently and collaborate with staff members.
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism.
    • Demonstrated discretion and respect for applicant and client confidentiality.
    • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, especially Google Sheets, Google Docs,
    • MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity with Massachusetts Fair Housing regulations.

    Job Type: Full-time This is not a remote position.

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM

    Weekend and evening availability may be required occasionally
