Bilingual Social Associate / Strategist (Spanish/English)

Van Ness Creative Strategies is looking for passionate Democrats with Spanish language proficiency and ungodly amounts of screentime for our Social Associate or Strategist role (depending on experience.)

If you have 1-2+ years of experience working in social media strategy and video editing and are interested in pursuing a career in politics, this position is for you!

This role will include:

→ Scripting, filming, and editing TikToks/Reels and other short-form social media videos

→ Creating digital assets (graphics, gifs) around candidates and movements

→ Copywriting for social media to educate voters and mobilize the vote

→ Being obsessed with social media trends + the latest TikTok sounds

→ Assisting in strategic content strategy

You should apply if you:

→ Have 1 year of experience working in social media for associate level (personal use applies), 2+ years experience for strategist

→ Speak Spanish fluently

→ Have a thorough understanding of the national political landscape

→ Check the news and X constantly

→ Are passionate about electing Democrats and advocating for progressive causes

This position pays $50,000 - $65,000 depending on experience. We operate on a hybrid schedule out of our Brooklyn loft offices (in office Mondays and Wednesdays), but are open to DC-based candidates for the right candidates.
