Grant Writer
Detalhes
Descrição
Elaine Morales Consulting is looking for a part-time grant writer (15-20 hours/week) who has experience writing both government and private foundation grants. This is a flexible, remote, long-term engagement.
Elaine Morales Consulting has worked with 40+ clients over 30 years, securing more than $200 million in grants for New York City-based human service, education, and arts organizations.
You are:
- An excellent writer. And by that – clear, concise, creative, caring. You know how to integrate research and data with stories and a compelling case.
- Pathologically curious. You dive deep into a topic. You ask really good questions. You know there’s more to the story.
- Detail-oriented. A proofreader’s dream. You follow instructions, step-by-step. And then you review all the steps again. And a third time.
- Compassionate. You believe in equity, justice, and the potential for things to always be just a bit better than they are now. You bring this perspective to your work.
- (Mostly) calm and definitely organized. Deadlines are a way of life and we need a good night’s sleep!
- Familiar with the world of human services, including homeless services, housing, workforce development, youth programming, hunger relief, college access, older adult services, and other programs that support human thriving.
- Experienced with the soup-to-nuts aspect of the work – registering for portals, collaborating with program staff, preparing budgets, editing for word count, collecting supporting documents, drafting cover letters and letters of support, and project managing large submissions, and maintaining records and files.
We are:
- A geographically dispersed and personally connected small team of writers, strategists, optimists, planners, and creators who are committed to bringing resources to our nonprofit clients, helping them gain clarity in their communications and planning, and enabling them to do what they do best – help people.
- Very nice people.
- A small, women and minority-owned, B2B nonprofit service provider whose principal has been working in the field since 1991.
- New York-centric. Currently, all our clients are located in New York City.
We are looking for someone who has written grant proposals for both private foundation and government entities – and grant reports! As a baseline – at least 10 of them.
Part-time, 15-20 hours/week, with potential to increase over time.
