Step Into a Role That Matters: Senior Manager of Events

As a Senior Manager of Events, your passion for making a difference will be at the forefront as you lead the planning and execution of 5-7+ major events annually. At PBP, our Senior Managers are versatile professionals who move fluidly across event logistics, client relationships, fundraising support, and platform management — with the depth of responsibility on any given workstream scaling to the size and complexity of the client. You won't be doing everything at maximum intensity at once; you'll be reading what each engagement needs and stepping into the right role at the right time.

Strategic Event Planning & Execution: Lead the end-to-end management of events, from conceptualization to completion, ensuring they exceed our clients' expectations. You'll be involved in every step of the process, from the planning stages through day-of execution, operating within a structured delivery framework that includes defined checkpoints across the event lifecycle.

Data Management & Platform Operations: Manage and maintain event platforms (including auction and registration systems), financial trackers, and data records across your portfolio. The weight of this work varies by client — some engagements are platform-heavy, others less so — but comfort with data, tracking tools, and event technology is essential across all of them.

Partnership & Relationship Building: Cultivate meaningful relationships with clients, vendors, and partners, working closely with them to achieve shared goals. Your ability to foster trust and communication will be central to seamless event execution and long-term client retention.

Fundraising Support & Execution: Support fundraising efforts across your event portfolio, including drafting solicitation materials, coordinating with honorees and key participants, facilitating captain calls, and maintaining sponsor tracking. The fundraising lift varies by client and is executed in partnership with senior leadership and the development function.

Team Collaboration & Leadership: Coordinate across a cross-functional team for each client engagement — delegating tasks, overseeing work, and providing support in a matrixed environment where team composition shifts by project. Strong collaboration skills are essential, and so is keeping your team and manager consistently informed: this role requires proactive communication, regular progress updates, and a genuine commitment to shared visibility across everything you're managing.

Innovation & Adaptation: Embrace technology, recommending and managing platforms and tools that enhance event execution and participant engagement.

    What You'll Bring:

    • Brings 5-7 years of experience in event management and fundraising, ideally within a similar agency, nonprofit, or corporate events environment.
    • Thinks strategically and executes flawlessly, with a proven ability to manage multiple large-scale events from concept to completion.
    • Is comfortable wearing many hats — moving between client work, logistics, data, and fundraising support — and can calibrate where to focus based on what each client and event requires.
    • Is genuinely comfortable with data and platform work — maintains trackers, manages event platforms, and keeps records accurate as a consistent part of the job.
    • Excels at relationship management, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills when working with clients, honorees, sponsors, and vendors.
    • Understands fundraising dynamics, with experience supporting sponsor outreach, donor engagement, and key participant coordination.
    • Communicates proactively and consistently — keeps teammates, managers, and stakeholders informed with ongoing updates throughout the planning process, flags issues early, and treats transparency as a core professional value, not an afterthought.
    • Leads with confidence and collaboration, motivating cross-functional teams and fostering a positive, solutions-oriented environment.
    • Is highly organized and detail-driven, able to juggle competing priorities while maintaining composure under pressure.
    • Demonstrates adaptability, thriving in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting where priorities can evolve quickly.
