SDS creates innovative business and investment strategies that foster economic opportunity in low-income communities and promote positive environmental impacts. At the investment level, we create and manage Double and Triple Bottom Line private and public equity funds, in our pursuit of market-based social and environmental solutions. At the community level, we provide capacity building and funding strategies to nonprofits serving low-income communities. Through its Nonprofit Capacity Building services, SDS seeks to empower nonprofits serving low-income communities to be more innovative, effective, and sustainable agents of social change. Building, sustaining, and growing a nonprofit organization in today's competitive and resource-constrained marketplace is an increasingly difficult endeavor. Operationally, we help nonprofits incorporate business operations strategies that improve their effectiveness and efficiency. Financially, we seek to help nonprofits become self-sustaining by strategically identifying and pursuing grants and developing ongoing revenue sources. In the past three years, SDS has secured more than $15 million in grants on behalf of its nonprofit clients.
