Neighbors is a graphic design studio run by Melisa Tekin, who is the Creative Director and Lead Designer. Melisa holds a B.A. in Urban Economics and Marketing, and a B.F.A. in Design. Neighbors Studio believes that effective design is an important tool, and aims to bridge the divide between effective design and pressing issues in their community through their work.
In 2019, Neighbors Studio was selected to be part of the Public Access Design Fellowship with the Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP), which is a nonprofit organization that uses the power of design and art to increase meaningful civic engagement. Neighbors is currently working on a project with the Immigrant Defense Project and CUP titled "Power to Prepare: What to Do if I'm at Risk of Being Detained by ICE."
