Proximate is a new project dedicated to using media and strategic communications to catalyze participatory problem-solving in response to urgent global challenges.
Founded by Letting Go authors and participatory grantmaking advocates Ben Wrobel and Meg Massey, we are driven by the idea that leaders can solve problems more effectively by shifting power to people with lived experience – those proximate to the problem.
Our mission is to catalyze participatory problem-solving by sharing knowledge about it and encouraging its use within philanthropy, impact investing, governments and the NGO community.
Our vision is a world where systems are designed with meaningful input from people with lived experience of the problem at hand.
