Non-Profit/NGO Career Counseling: If you are interested in a career or are looking to advance in the social purpose sector, but you may not be sure where to begin, I can work with you in one consult or a targeted series of conversations in order to help you assess and understand what you need to do in order to break into the industry or move up the ladder in a role that is aligned with your professional career goals. I will also help you become informed about what social purpose organizations are seeking in candidates and work on your resume and cover letter(s) in order to ensure you have a competitive advantage.

Where to Give or Volunteer: Often times individuals want to give of their time or money, but are not quite sure where to begin. I am available to work with you on a one time or over a series of consultations to help you define the types of organizations you would like to become involved with, the country and size of organization. After an initial consultation to assess your priorities and how you see yourself contributing, I will then work on providing you with written information – including non-profit/NGO contact information – for organizations you may want to consider. In addition, I will also provide you with 20 years worth of experience in the report that will help you get the most out of your involvement as a donor or volunteer.

Board, Executive and Staff Coaching: With 20 years of experience in the industry, including management and consulting rolls, and a Master of Arts Degree in Social and Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City, leadership, management and professional development have been a hallmark of my work since early in my career. I can work with senior management professionals who are transitioning into the role of CEO or Executive Director so your first 100 days sets the tone for a productive environment. I am also available to work with new board members so they understand the difference between board and management responsibilities, as well as with junior or mid-career staff who are seeking to grow professionally.

A large portion of my work is done via LinkedIn, Skype, internet VoIP and conferencing. I am a big fan of the virtual world so I can balance my professional life with other personal interests.
