Novare is a growing consortium of forward-thinking, single-site and small-system Life Plan Community providers that have come together to collaborate, innovate, and enhance the world of senior living through shared next practices. Novare is based in Evanston, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Founded in 2012, Novare started out as a CEO forum. Today, it represents 19 forward-thinking single-site and small system Life Plan Community providers operating 29 communities in 18 states. These members share knowledge, pool resources, collaborate, and enjoy a full schedule of events to create exciting new opportunities for their organizations and the residents they serve. Novare is equivalent in size to the nation’s third-largest, multi-site, not-for-profit organization, with 10,689 units, including 2025 expansions, per the 2024 Ziegler/LeadingAge Top 200.

Novare is seeking a Part-Time President to lead the community in meeting the needs of the next generation. Reporting to the seven-member Governance Committee, this individual will be a hands-on, articulate leader with a deep passion for senior living and proven ability in developing and implementing strategic plans.

The prospective candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree, but an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. A minimum five (5) years of executive leadership experience in strategic and operational roles is required, as is a strong background with proven success in change management. An association management skillset would be a plus. They must also have demonstrated the ability to lead others through influence, not just positional authority. People skills are vital, especially the ability to build strong, lasting personal relationships across the enterprise, including relationships with stakeholders such as the Executive Leadership Team, Directors, Staff, Board Members and residents within Novare-affiliated communities. The annual base salary ranges from $150,000 to $170,000, plus bonus potential.
