The Attorney General's Office, New Jersey Racing Commission, is looking for a Veterinarian to join its team. This position will travel between racetracks in East Rutherford, NJ and Oceanport, NJ. The salary for this position will fall within the range of $92,710.53 to $136,605.03. Title and salary offered is non-negotiable and will fall within the range posted.

The Attorney General has broad oversight of the state’s legal and law enforcement matters. As the head of the Department of Law & Public Safety, the Attorney General supervises a wide range of Divisions, Offices, and Commissions, consisting of over 2,800 sworn law enforcement officers, 600 attorneys, and thousands of other public servants.
ABOUT THE DIVISION:
The New Jersey Racing Commission (NJRC) regulates horse racing in New Jersey. NJRC is a nine-member, bipartisan body appointed by Governor, staffed by a team of career employees who oversee the permitting and licensing procedures of horse owners, trainers, drivers, and veterinarians.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.
"Professional experience" refers to work that is creative, analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range and depth of specialized knowledge of the profession's principles, concepts, theories, and practices; and is performed with the authority to act according to one's own judgment and make accurate and informed decisions.
