Position Description
Organization OverviewSakhi for South Asian Survivors exists to represent the South Asian and Indo-Caribbean diaspora living in America in a survivor-led movement for gender-justice by providing culturally competent direct services such as a helpline, counseling, advocacy, housing assistance, economic empowerment, food justice, elder abuse intervention, and youth programs that honor the collective and inherent power of all survivors of violence.

The Intake Specialist will respond to Sakhi’s helpline calls between 2:00 - 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. These hours are subject to change based on the need/expansion of the helpline hours. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and summary for all the calls. This position reports to the Helpline and Volunteer Manager.

Qualifications
Candidates must be over 18 and authorized to work in the United States. Sakhi will not sponsor for a work visa.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
This is a part time position for 12 hours weekly with a teleworking schedule. Salary is $25.00 per hour.
