Program/Internship Description
Meridian's External Affairs Department is responsible for maintaining relationships with Meridian's external audiences, organizational communications, cultivating development opportunities and corporate diplomacy programs. The team comprises several arms including institutional advancement, institutional programs, corporate relations, the executive office, and communications.
Meridian's External Affairs team strategically engages stakeholders and philanthropic partners from across Meridian's domestic and global networks, curating impactful programming and special events to advance Meridian's mission of building a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous world. The team works to support Meridian's Center for Corporate Diplomacy, Center for Cultural and Sports Diplomacy, Center for Diplomatic Engagement, and Center for Global Leadership.
The External Affairs Intern will provide logistical support for events, assemble materials for programs and events, create briefing memos for upcoming donor meetings, support in prospecting potential donors, as well as support on drafting communications, newsletters, blogs, and other written tasks as needed by the team. The Intern is an integral member of the team and is involved in all the projects for the External Affairs team.
