About the Role

Research Specialists contribute to the success of On-Ramps by driving high-quality research on prospective candidates for executive-level roles at a social sector organization. Research Specialists collaborate with search teams by providing behind-the-scenes sourcing support, with the ultimate goal of producing viable candidates and generating robust, diverse candidate pipelines.

This position is an excellent fit for someone with a research orientation, persistence, and a desire to do work with social impact. The role is structured to offer independence and flexibility, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the success of social sector organizations across the country.

As a Research Specialist, you will be assigned to manage 2-3 organization searches simultaneously. On each search, your responsibilities will include:

• Quickly and comprehensively become informed of the organization and role specifics
• Contribute to the development of the sourcing strategy for the search
• Spearhead and refine key elements of the sourcing strategy
• Develop industry maps to inform a sourcing strategy, as relevant
• Generate robust and diverse pools of prospective candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and strategic online research
• Seek and receive feedback from search teams and modify sourcing accordingly
• Collaborate with search teams and process coordinators to coordinate efficient outreach and follow up with potential candidates
• Attend all search-related meetings and all research team-related meetings
• Research and stay up to date on social sector organizations and sector developments

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in recruitment or social sector organizations, ideally with a background in nonprofit finance or nonprofit fundraising
• Passion for working with innovative social sector organizations
• Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to efficiently scale learning curves and incorporate new learnings
• Ability to efficiently digest and synthesize information to drive strategies that produce results
• Strong task and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple projects while maintaining a high level of organization.

Additional Details

Compensation and Benefits

$30 per hour, a 401K plan with up to 4% match, opportunities to advance to a full-time position

Location

Remote from one of the following states: Virginia, Illinois, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia.

Hours and Availability

• Available to work 18-25 hours per week with flexibility
• Able to work flexible hours between 10am-6pm EST on Monday-Thursday, including the ability to attend required video meetings for your searches (other hours can be worked based on the Research Specialist's availability)
