Management Analyst I: $115,980.80 - $148,491.20 Annually
Management Analyst II: $127,982.40 - $163,820.80 Annually
Overview:
The Capital Project Management and Project Controls Program supports capital projects that deliver safe, clean water, flood protection and environmental stewardship throughout the county by providing streamlined solutions for the oversight and management of capital projects. Under this program, Valley Water has implemented and now manages a project management information system (PMIS) for projects in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and other business intelligence and analytics tools to provide enhanced project data analysis and reporting. The program also oversees the quality management system documentation of procedures and work instructions relating to the delivery of capital projects; provides regular updates on the status of capital projects to the Board of Directors and the Board's CIP Committee; and coordinates with various departments across multiple divisions to create engagement and transparency in our agency's multifaceted business areas. This position will be expected to provide analysis and support for all aspects of capital project delivery. This position will focus on developing and maintaining performance reporting and dashboards for capital projects. The Management Analyst will be expected to be well versed in data analysis and dashboard creation and able to assist in developing recommendations for organizational, operational, policy, financial, budgetary, and procedural improvements. This position requires a high level of flexibility, problem solving and customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and resources and to complete deliverables under general supervision. Vital to this position will be a strong understanding of the processes and procedures underlying the delivery of capital projects.

Ideal Training and Education:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.Substitution: Directly related experience may be substituted for the college requirement on the basis of one and one-half years of experience for one year of education to a maximum of four years.

Employment with Valley Water requires employees to work within 150 miles of their primary physical work location located in San Jose, California by their start date.
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, typically working 40% remote and 60% onsite.
