Position Summary
FundMiner is seeking an organized, execution-focused Events Manager to own our presence across every stage and screen. This role is responsible for building FundMiner's visibility in the market through in-person conference participation and a growing digital events program from first proposal to post-event follow up.
You'll shape how we show up in the rooms that matter, engage prospects and partners across Higher Ed, Healthcare, and Foundation sectors, and ensure every event investment drives measurable return.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Conferences & In-Person Events
- Own FundMiner's full conference calendar — research, evaluate, and manage proposals and submissions for relevant industry events across Higher Ed, Healthcare Philanthropy, and Nonprofit/Community Foundation sectors
- Coordinate all pre-event logistics: booth design and setup, branded merchandise and swag sourcing, print materials, and shipping coordination
- Manage on-site presence end-to-end — booth experience, team schedules, speaking engagements, and client or prospect dinners and hosted events at conference locations
- Track conference ROI and inform decisions on which events to prioritize, sponsor, or skip
- Build relationships with conference organizers to identify speaking opportunities and partnership integrations
Digital Events
- Support execution of FundMiner's digital events program — coordinating logistics, production, and follow-through across webinars and virtual programs
- Partner closely with the Partnerships Manager on partner co-hosted webinars, the Customer Success team on customer-focused events, and the Product team on product-related programming
- Manage event coordination from scheduling through post-event follow-up using Livestorm and HubSpot
- Drive registration, attendance, and engagement; support post-event reporting and nurture handoff
Strategy & Operations
- Build and maintain an annual events calendar aligned to marketing campaigns and partnership activity
- Establish repeatable processes, playbooks, and templates for both event types
- Track and report on event performance: registrations, attendance, engagement, and pipeline influence
- Own events expense tracking — maintain accurate records across conferences, digital events, and associated costs (swag, print, shipping, on-site expenses)
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on event spend, ROI, and program health
- Collaborate closely with Marketing (HubSpot, content, paid) and Partnerships to ensure tight alignment
Skills & Experience
This is an ideal but non-exhaustive list of qualifications we are looking for in a successful candidate. If you meet some but not all of these, we encourage you to apply anyway! We look at each applicant’s candidacy in its totality to assess suitability for this role, including enthusiasm and inclination to learn and grow.
- 3–5 years of project management or events experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or a related industry
- Proven track record coordinating conference participation and digital/virtual events end-to-end
- Strong project management skills — you're organized, deadline-driven, and thrive with multiple concurrent workstreams
- Comfortable owning vendor relationships for print, swag, shipping, and on-site logistics without heavy support
- Experience with webinar platforms (Livestorm, Zoom Webinars, ON24, or similar)
- Familiarity with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/MAP for registration flows, list management, and follow-up
- Excellent written and verbal communication — you'll interface with executives, partners, and customers
- Self-starter who can define the playbook, not just follow one
- Familiarity with the Higher Education, Healthcare Philanthropy, or Nonprofit sector is a plus
Qualities & Values
The ideal candidate for this roll will be someone who…
- Is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented in managing multiple touchpoints.
- Brings a balance of creativity and process to projects and initiatives.
- Communicates clearly and collaborates naturally across departments.
- Learns quickly and remains flexible to adapt to evolving circumstances as the business scales.
- Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, with excellent proactive communication skills and a passion for building and maintaining strong relationships.
